Copier Careers® Eighth Annual Service Technician's Salary Survey
Minneapolis, MN, May 15th, 2009 - Copier Careers®, a Minneapolis based niche
recruiting firm serving the Document Imaging Industry for over 20 years, just
published their eighth annual Service Technician Salary Survey. This year's
survey garnered response from 3,872 copier technicians across the United States.
The results indicate that there is virtually no unemployment among OEM trained,
experienced Copier Technicians.
Technicians are predominately male; approximately 36.9 years of age and have
been in the industry for 7.5 years, up from 6.5 years in 2002. Since 2002 the
respondents report that their work week has increased from 46 hours to 51 per
week.
Most notably, satisfaction with compensation has skyrocketed from 24 percent in
2008 to 55 percent in 2009. The percentage of techs who are satisfied with all
