Why Job Satisfaction Has Stalled for the Reliable Copier Sales Technician
Minneapolis, MN, November 14, 2004 - Copier Careers, a Minneapolis based niche recruiting firm serving the Document Imaging Industry for over 20 years, published their third Service Technician Salary Survey. The results indicate waning, if not stalled job satisfaction for reliable sales technicians.
Copier Service Technicians, who are 94% male, are a consistent, reliable and imperative part of an Independent Copier Dealership. What is sure is that Technicians won't be without a job because their skills are always in demand. What Techs are lacking is recognition for their contribution when it comes to management feedback and a bonus structure. Furthermore, the frequent instability of independent and the ensuing hiring stalls result in increased responsibilities for the Service Technicians who end up working longer hours and going on more calls while also being required to have more certification and training. The results indicate that perhaps employees aren't as confident they're going to stay in the industry or that their employer will be around, so it’s not a surprise that the majority of these folks are considering employment elsewhere. Base pay is the leading component of what matters to the Tech. in their jobs, and most are also looking for less stress on the job. Visit www.copiercareers.com/survey for the entire salary survey study to learn more.
Service Technicians answered this survey online anonymously. They just logged on to CopierCareers.com and answered a series of questions related to their particular job description. Copier Careers then compares results from last year's study and industry expert Scott Cullen writes and publishes the survey in ENX magazine. Please look for our next survey to be published in the Spring, 2005.
Copier Careers is fully committed to the industry and they are the only search firm you can retain that's solely dedicated to the staffing needs of Independent Copier Dealerships.
