Service Managers get the money want the respect

Minneapolis, MN, June 13th, 2008 - Copier Careers (R), a Minneapolis based niche recruiting firm serving the Document Imaging Industry for over 20 years, just published their 2008 Service Manager Salary Survey. This is the third in a series of three annual salary surveys that Copier Careers (R) prepares for the copier industry. Copier Careers (R) has provided salary surveys to the industry continually since 2000, and they have become an industry benchmark. This year the Service Managers report that their income is up 2 to 4% since 2002. When asked to pick what matters most in their careers the biggest increase that was selected was "recognition for work well done". Service managers, like their counterparts on the sales side reported that even though salaries have increased, so have, responsibilities, epically in recruiting and retaining staff. Managers continue to be frustrated by their employer's efforts to attract and retain technical staff.

While Service managers indicated that their income had gone up and that they are overall satisfied in their current positions, the vast majority of Service Managers said that they are looking for new opportunities in an effort to obtain even higher compensation. Visit www.copiercareers.com/surveys for the entire detailed salary survey study to learn more.

Service Managers answered this survey online anonymously over a twelve month period. They just logged on to CopierCareers.com and answered a series of questions related to their particular job description. Copier Careers then compares results from prior year's results and industry expert Scott Cullen writes and publishes the survey results in ENX Magazine. Through ENX Magazine the Copier Careers (R) Salary Survey is distributed to over 40,000 industry professionals in the second quarter each year.

Copier Careers (R) is the only retained recruiting firm, utilizing Adaptive Retainer Recruiting (SM), dedicated solely to meeting the staffing needs of Independent Copier Dealerships. Copier Careers (R) continually work diligently to give back to the industry with in depth white papers, articles and yearly salary surveys in order to keep a pulse on the latest industry trends. With the most extensive database of OEM-trained copier technicians, managers, and sales professionals in the industry, Copier Careers (R) has all the right tools to help you find your next employee.
